was an Episcopalian; died October 19, 1930 and is buried at St. Barnabas Church,
Temple Hills, MD (on 10/22/30). He married first

MARGARET LISTON, born in Ireland; and secondly,
CHARITY
CLIFTON,
born December 15, 1874, died 13
Aug 1947; buried at St. Barnabas Church Cemetery also.

Charity Clifton as his second wife. She was 13 years younger
than he, being born 15 December of 1874 in Silver Hill, MD. In 1900 they had been
married 3 years. William Charles Cator, James
Cator and Margaret Marie/Maggie Cator
were all
children of William and Mary Margaret Liston
Cator. Edward
is the one year old son of Charity and William.

are listed as their mother

in Maryland (Charity) instead of their birth mother
Mary Margaret Liston
who was born in Ireland. Head of
Household, William Cator, is
the only one employed and he is listed as a Teamster working at the government
hospital (St. Elizabeth's).

October 11, 1973. Both are buried at Cedar Hills Cemetery, Suitland MD
(Sec 12, Lot 26, Site 6).

Married May 8, 1919:
Ruth Viola and Edward Cator had two sons.
One, William Edward Cator, born in
1920; married on June 1946 Helen Clara Rhymer;
he died 14 Nov 2004 in Manassas VA. Another child is still living and no
information is presented here.
William Edward Cator apparently grew up on
15th St. S.E. in Washington,D.C.

DC, lists that Edward and Ruth V. Cator boarded at the Winemiller's
residence. Clarence (Head of Household) is the Half Uncle of Edward Cator

Helen Rhymer Cator was born in Asheville,
NC on December 11, 1919. In 1930 at age 9, she lived with her family at 95
Swannanoa Avenue, in Asheville. All of her family were born in NC to NC-born
parents. Her father was Hardy Rhymer,
a house plasterer. Her mom was Sadie Rhymer.
Helen's siblings are Roy (15), Bonnie (13), Marion
(7), and Louise (3 yrs 8 months in April 1930).
Her parents in 1930 had been married since Hardy was 22 and Sadie was 18.
They are now 38 and 34 respectively.

Father of Helen Rhymer Cator, was born 4 Aug 1894 in Leicester,
Buncombe County, NC, and died 9 Oct 1975 in Asheville, Buncombe , North
Carolina (age 78). He married Sadie
Lavida Redmond 1914 likely in Asheville, NC. She was born 9
March 1897 in Fletcher, NC;

died 1982. Hardy died at a general hospital in
Asheville - no autopsy - buried in NC.
NEW The Rhymers are buried at Calvary Episcopal
Church in Fletcher, NC.
